ISP Design Services The design of building laterals, interior distribution systems and customer data center facilities requires a design team with both engineering and architectural experience. MATRIX has dedicated a skilled group of professionals with that experience and the vision to design both constructible and cost effective ISP solutions. We have designed OSP/ISP fiber optic cable routing from the system backbone to the building entrance terminal, and ultimately to the required customer facility for hundreds of locations. MATRIX’s ISP design team provides complete project management and design services for the implementation of complex telecommunications data centers, node sites, central offices and co-location facilities. Our staff has experience designing solutions for major carriers such as MFN, IBM, AT&T, Cablevision, TKR, FiberNet, Con Edison Communications, Level (3) Communications and MCI Worldcom. These solutions have included single entry and multiple entry diverse routes from the backbone or loop location to the termination point within the customer facility.

Our ISP design team also works hand-in-hand with our OSP design engineers and network planners to design and implement the critical local OSP connections between ISP termination facilities and the interstate long haul networks.
OSP Design Services Our engineers, network planners and project managers possess over 50-years of combined technical experience specializing in the design and coordination of interstate long haul networks, intercity network ring connections, metropolitan network rings, backbone to backbone connections and the integration of customer POP and Node sites into these networks. As such, we have designed and acquired approvals for OSP projects that include route selection, bridge attachments, rail crossings, directional drilling and environmental permitting spanning hundreds of miles. MATRIX has developed a composite Fiber Optics Design Procedures Manual that standardizes the entire design process. This manual has become an accepted industry standard and allows our project managers to simultaneously manage several design teams to accomplish large-scale projects that span several states.
